The Epic Quest of Design Medic
A great adventure in design that continues up until today
Once upon a time, there was a shy little girl who wanted to make friends but didn't know how to talk to them. She was great at drawing and she used to take custom Sailor Moon requests from the other kids and drew her way into their hearts. You could say she started freelancing at the age of 8 and get their friendship as the payment.
That’s when this girl had the first dream: “I want to make beautiful things for others, and make good results out of it!”
My first job threw me straight into the action. I designed for top names like SK, Lotte, and eBay Korea. Banners, campaigns, promotions etc. you name it, I pixel-crafted them.
After all the ads, I wanted to learn real UI/UX. So I took a side gig with the Korean government and learned about web accessibility. That’s when I started designing for everybody, not just for looks.
Built all kinds of apps for travelers; one day or multiple days of group tours, hotel bookings, rental cars, even an app for Indonesian expats in Korea. Didn’t speak the language at all, but hey, good UI speaks for itself.
Never thought binge-reading webcomics in my good old school days would be professionally practical some day… but here I was. I led a full redesign of Delitoon, upgraded UX, and built a global design system from scratch.
I moved to France with just “Bonjour” and “Merci” in my vocabulary just like the show 'Emily in Paris'. At Piccoma Europe, I led localization for webcomics, managed a multicultural team, and even built our own internal design tools to support everyone — from teammates to agencies. Did I do the design job? Bah ouais, but also worked as a PM, translator, and a Korean culture influencer introducing karaoke or kimchi crêpes.
Now? Onto the Next Stage
I’m a designer who can speak the languages of dev, marketing, stakeholders and last but not least, users. I bring logic, empathy, and some extra beauty to every interfaces.
